peculiarity of the composition of chalk paint
Our chalk paint offers exceptional variety and quality. It is ideal for a variety of painting techniques, from a pasty, opaque application and dynamic pouring to fine glazes that create powdery effects.
application
Chalk paint is compatible with a variety of materials and tools, making it an ideal medium for experimental artists. It is perfect for both abstract and figurative work and can be used on many surfaces, including canvas, paper and wood.
Note on washing out the brushes: We recommend collecting the painting water in a container. The solid particles will settle to the bottom after a while and you can then dispose of the water above them via the drain. When disposing of the dried paint residues, please observe the applicable waste disposal laws.
flow and drying behavior
Aquarylic chalk paint is characterized by a smooth consistency that has a slightly higher viscosity than our acrylic paint, allowing precise application with both brush and spatula. Its drying time is comparable to that of acrylic paints, allowing quick layering. After drying, it leaves a matte, slightly chalky surface, ideal for matte effects.
special features of chalk paint white
White chalk paint is ideal for lightening other colours and is excellent for making fillers, especially when mixed with fillers such as grey flour. As a primer, it is ideal for a wide range of painting surfaces. Its absorbent properties allow you to create textures and cracks that give each work a unique touch. In the glazing technique, chalk paint creates beautiful, powdery effects.

fillings with the chalk paint
We have shown a work of art for you on our inspiration page. The white petals can only be created with our white chalk paint. Dilute the paint with water in a ratio of 1:4. 1 part white chalk paint and 4 parts water. The canvas is first primed with the darkest acrylic paint possible (dark gray-blue). Each individual petal is applied one by one. As it dries, you can see how beautifully the surface "chalks out". Leaf by leaf, an impressive flower is created and becomes visible.
chalk paint as primer
The chalk paint is ideal as a primer for a variety of painting surfaces, including canvas, paper and wood. Thanks to its excellent adhesion properties and quick drying, it provides a solid base for further layers of paint and enhances the luminosity of subsequent colors.
