Community Voting · Rebel with Color.

The Aquarylic Art Challenge 2026 has been decided: out of more than 1,000 submitted works, 50 made it to the final — jury scores and more than 10,000 community votes then chose the three winners (announced July 25, 6:00 p.m.). Below you’ll find the winning works and all 50 finalists — and further down, everything you need to know about the challenge.

What is this about?

the aquarylic art challenge

Too many artworks stay in the studio. Too many voices go unheard. The Aquarylic Art Challenge changes that: artists of every experience level — from hobbyists to professionals — submit works created with Aquarylic products. A four-member jury selects the top 50, and then the community votes publicly here on aquarylic.com. The three works with the highest overall score from jury ratings and community votes win.

The 2026 motto

“Rebel with Color.”

Rebelling means breaking rules. Rebelling with color means creating something. The motto wasn’t a task to solve but an attitude to show — in the choice of colors, in the technique, in the energy the painting gives off. There is no right or wrong interpretation. In other words: “Rebellious. But with color.”

Looking back

how the 2026 challenge went

Until July 8 · Jury selection: The four-member jury rated all eligible works on how they interpreted the motto, artistic quality, use of Aquarylic products and originality — and selected the top 50.

July 15 – 24 · Community voting: pick 3 favorites every day — more than 10,000 votes were cast.

July 25 · Winners: announcement of the top 3 based on jury scores and community votes — at the top of this page.

December · Magazine: The full-page portrait feature on the 1st-place winner will appear in “Mein Kreativ-Atelier” magazine.

Prizes

what you can win

🥇 1st place: The winning motif will appear on the sleeve of the Aquarylic set of 9 — in art supply stores across Europe. Plus a full-page feature with portrait in “Mein Kreativ-Atelier” magazine (print run of 55,000 copies) and 1× Aquarylic set of 9.
🥈 2nd place & 🥉 3rd place: each wins a complete Aquarylic set worth €350.

Plus: all 50 finalists are showcased on aquarylic.com and on Aquarylic’s social media channels.

The jury

four voices. four perspectives.

Christiane Rückel — Editor-in-chief, “Mein Kreativ-Atelier”

Jean-Claude Meyer — Deputy Managing Director, boesner GmbH Switzerland

Andreas Streicher — Gallery director of Galeria HMH in Mallorca

Angelika Domenig — Artist and co-founder of Aquarylic

The jury did not judge predefined styles, but artistic attitude, quality and the visible use of Aquarylic products. The community voting was factored into the final score as additional weighting.
