application

The chalk paint is compatible with various materials and tools, making it an ideal medium for adventurous artists. It is perfectly suitable for both abstract and representational works and can be applied on many surfaces, including canvas, paper, and wood.

Note on washing out the brushes: We recommend collecting the painting water in a container. After some time the solid particles will settle at the bottom and you can then dispose the water above in the drain. When disposing of the dried-out paint residue, please observe the applicable waste law.

flow and drying behavior

The Aquarylic chalk paint is characterized by a smooth consistency that has a slightly higher viscosity than our acrylic paint, allowing for precise application with both brush and spatula. Its drying time is comparable to acrylic paints, which allows for rapid layering. Once dry, it leaves a matte, slightly chalky surface, ideal for matte effects.

characteristics of the white chalk color

The white chalk paint is ideal for lightening other shades and is excellent for making spatula pastes, especially when mixed with fillers such as stone powder. As a primer, it is perfect for a variety of painting surfaces. Its absorbent properties allow for the creation of textures and cracks, giving each work a unique touch. In glazing techniques, the chalk paint creates beautiful, powdery effects.

pouring with the chalk color

For this, we have displayed an artwork for you on our inspirations page. The white petals are only possible with our chalk paint white. Dilute the paint with water in a ratio of 1:4. One part chalk color white and four parts water. The canvas is first primed with an acrylic color as dark as possible (grey blue dark). Each petal is applied little by little. As it dries, you can see how beautifully the area chalks out. Leaf by leaf emerges, and an imposing flower becomes visible.
