about the artist
“I am a finder and interpreter. I layer, superimpose, destroy and reinvent.
Inner landscapes and color spaces grow in the process.”
– Andrea Rozorea
Andrea Rozorea from Augsburg has been a freelance artist and also a teacher of art and painting since 1998. She was already awarded art promotion prizes during her studies and also gained international experience.
her technique
Abstract expressionism characterizes her large-format paintings. On small formats she likes to show figuralities and drawings. She says about herself that she has been a draftswoman since she could hold a pencil. She deliberately became a painter at the age of eighteen, when her gifted teacher Norbert Spreng ignited the fire in her. He introduced her colleagues and her to the world of color pigments, which have never let her go since.
She describes the color effect of pure pigment as penetrating and sensual, so that to this day she mostly makes her own colors to maximize their potential.
about aquarylic
“Aquarylic manages to come very close to what is described. I am therefore happy to add the Aquarylic products to my palette. I am particularly fond of the white chalk paint, the putty and the blue shades.”
